New York, NY, United States, 02/16/2007 – Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) member Norka Munilla, president of Thunder Electrical Contractors, Inc. of Miami, has been named the Electrical Contractor of the Year by the Latin Builders Association Inc. The annual award is presented to individuals associated with the South Florida construction industry. Munilla is a member of the WPO Miami chapter and has been affiliated with WPO since 2004.
“I commend Norka for being named Electrical Contractor of the Year,” said Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., president of the WPO. “In an industry frequently considered to be male-dominated, it is refreshing when a woman is recognized for her own considerable achievements.”
