Fonality, the innovative provider of business phone systems and integrated communications solutions designed to reduce the friction that slows business momentum, announced today that TMC, a global, integrated marketing company, has named Fonality for Insurance Professionals as a recipient of its 2013 Unified Communications Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. The company also announced improved eAgent integration and paper fax machine support to strengthen its solution for the industry even further.
“This award is particularly meaningful to Fonality because it underscores our commitment to meeting the needs of insurance industry professionals,” said David Scult, Fonality CEO. “As today’s announcements make clear, we are dedicated to continued innovation specifically designed to improve the business process of insurance agents and agency owners.”
“It gives me great pleasure to grant a 2013 Unified Communications Excellence Award to Fonality for its innovative insurance communications solution and the team’s commitment to addressing the real needs of the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “It’s inspiring to see such commitment to excellence and I look forward to many future innovations from Fonality.”
Recognizing the importance of the eAgent agency management platform, Fonality announced the upcoming release of “click-to-dial” capabilities in all modern web browsers. A user can now click on any phone number in eAgent to initiate a phone call on their Fonality business phone. Misdials and wrong numbers are minimized and time wasted on outbound dialing is eliminated. This functionality is in addition to automated screen pops. Screen pops allow a user of Fonality and eAgent to automatically view a customer’s data when an incoming call is received from a number matching an eAgent record, allowing insurance agents to provide fast, personal service. Now placing and receiving phone calls are more efficient than ever before. The solution is available for Mac and Windows and works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
The company also announced upcoming support for paper fax machines over internet connections. “The paper fax machine is not yet a thing of the past. In fact, paper agreements are still are a requirement of some underwriters,” explained Scult. “The Fonality solution for paper fax machines eliminates the need for a dedicated telephone line, reducing the costs associated with faxing and reducing the need to scan documents. Of course, for those that prefer removing the machine all together, we also offer paperless F:”
Unlike paper fax machine adapters from competitors, Fonality’s solution uses a “store and send” system to allow flawless, error-free delivery over standard internet connections. Other solutions rely on running a real-time protocol without the benefit of caching, which results in extra delays, lost pages, and failed transmissions over the internet.
Insurance agency owners are taking notice of Fonality’s ability to impact their business. "Fonality has been a fantastic partner to my growing business. With several locations, I needed a system that I could tailor to meet our specific needs and Fonality answered it. With incredible functions like instant message, emailed voice mail, voice mail text, call reporting and call quality monitoring, it has allowed seamless interaction between locations,” said John A Larson III, President and CEO of American Insurance Agencies, LLC. “It has also allowed me to keep a better handle on the quality of our customer service. In addition to all of this, I saved 50 percent on my phone bill and have the same dollar amount due each month."
Unified Communications Excellence Award winners are published in the November 2013 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. For more information about TMC, please visit tmcnet.com/.
