Datawatch Corporation, a leading global provider of visual data discovery solutions, today announced a partnership with OSIsoft, and the release of its real-time data connector to the OSIsoft PI System. OSIsoft produces the PI System, the leading operational data infrastructure for real-time data and event processing. Through this partnership, Datawatch will extend OSIsoft’s industry-leading infrastructure with business-driven data visualization capable of allowing organizations to see the operational aspects of their businesses in real time.
The Datawatch PI System connector provides seamless integration between OSIsoft's PI System and Datawatch’s visual data discovery platform. OSIsoft users are now able to quickly develop visualizations of streaming PI System data using Datawatch Desktop and then deploy these solutions securely across their enterprises with Datawatch Server.
“We are extremely excited about the prospects for our partnership with OSIsoft,” said Ben Plummer, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of Strategic Alliances for Datawatch. “The ever-increasing speed of today’s business requires constant access to information, and OSIsoft’s vision for delivering this information in real time is a critical part of an organization’s infrastructure. When you couple their capabilities with Datawatch’s visual data discovery solutions, users gain the ability to quickly spot trends as they occur in their businesses
delivering a competitive edge.”
"This partnership brings significant value to our mutual customers by demonstrating how realtime data visual analytics helps organizations discover patterns and correlations in their PI system data and more quickly see and react to problem areas," said Richard Beeson, Chief Software Architect at OSIsoft. “Datawatch and OSIsoft share an understanding of the value of gaining a broad view of your business over time through the use of historical and real-time sources, making this a natural partnership.”
Datawatch and OSIsoft will be jointly promoting the connector to market together, and the initial launch of the connector will take place at the OSIsoft User Conference in San Francisco March 25-26, 2014.
