Scoresby, Victoria, Australia, 2014/03/13 - STC (the Small Technologies Cluster) today announced the launch of ‘The MedTech Boardroom Stimulator’ program, a free mentorship program for start-ups, SMEs and larger companies developing, commercialising and selling medical technologies.
STC’s mission of growing and supporting strong innovative advanced technology companies is demonstrated in their latest program, ‘The MedTech Boardroom Stimulator.’ This is a free program for start-ups, SMEs and larger companies to access mentorship and drive more opportunity capitalisation, increased productivity and refined product development and market strategy.
These lunch sessions represent a virtual boardroom scenario where participating companies can get assistance in identifying collaborative opportunities, refine strategy and brainstorm specific challenges.
Space is limited companies interested in participating should contact STC (info[.]stcaustralia.org).
“This program was designed as a direct response to the needs and challenges we see in advanced technology companies, like medtech. It is impossible for a company to be fully networked, to be aware of all opportunities and threats, or to think about business strategy from every angle. Surrounding promising companies with experts will undoubtedly drive lasting benefit to the participant company, the mentors that participate, and the innovation ecosystem as a whole.” said Buzz Palmer, STC’s CEO.
The ‘MedTech Boardroom Stimulator’ is provided through support from the Victorian Government Department of State Development, Business and Innovation.
STC promotes commercialisation and entrepreneurship around next-generation innovations with programs that grow new businesses. Many sectors, like biotechnology, medical devices, life science and information technology, are converging around this rapidly growing core of cutting edge innovation. STC seeds and catalyses new industry opportunities through the development and uptake of small and emerging technologies. STC provides the infrastructure to accelerate commercialization, links with key stakeholders across industry, government and academia necessary to nurture cross-fertilisation of innovation, and is the clear and consistent voice of those developing, integrating, or supporting emerging enabling technologies.
