London, United Kingdom, 2014/02/26 - Kantar is pleased to announce the promotion of Hidehiko Otake to CEO of its wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary, Kantar Japan, effective immediately - Kantar.com.
He replaces long-serving CEO Masanori Miyajima, who will be leaving the business.
Otake, previously COO, will report into Wayne Levings, president, Kantar, who chairs the Kantar Innovation Board and is responsible for the company’s global client programme. The move is designed to promote closer links between the global organisation and Kantar Japan, allowing it to offer the best of Kantar’s expertise to Japanese local and multinational clients.
Otake started his career at the Tokyo office of US consultants Bain and subsequently completed an MBA at Harvard Business School. He then worked for a number of years at WPP-owned ad agency JWT before founding and building up two bio-technology start-up companies. He joined Kantar Japan in 2011.
Kantar CEO Eric Salama said: “I’d like to thank Masanori for all he has done for the business over the past few years. We are fortunate to have Hidehiko in place as his successor.
