Sarasota, FL, United States, 2007/02/13 - PowerTech chief executive Richard Clement told StockInterview, during an Audio Interview, that he expects production on the company’s South Dakota uranium-mineralized property to occur by the latter half of 2009.
PowerTech chief executive Richard Clement told StockInterview, during an Audio Interview, “We expect that production will occur during the latter half of 2009.” The State of South Dakota granted the company an exploration permit on its Dewey Burdock uranium-mineralized property.
Clement told StockInterview that the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), “drilled over 4,000 test holes to determine the extent of the ore trends.” He added, “TVA defined over 8 million pounds of in place uranium. Their efforts resulted in an underground mining feasibility study.” Clement also pointed out, “This study determined that TVA could produce over 5 million pounds through conventional mining.”
Clement plans to produce uranium through the In Situ Recovery (ISR) uranium mining method. He also told StockInterview, during the Audio Interview, “The quality of the resources is fairly high grade relative to other US deposits. The average grade of Dewey-Burdock is 0.21 percent U3O8, which is really four pounds per ton of ore.”
