Atlanta, GA, United States, 2014/01/20 - Accounting professionals look forward to annual event at Georgia’s Gold Dome, predicting high attendance - GSCPA.org.
Over 150 Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) from across Georgia are getting ready to meet on January 30 for the 2014 CPA Day at the Gold Dome. On this day, individual CPAs, members of CPA firms and accounting students will gather for the third annual CPA Day. Hosted by The Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), this exciting event is a symbol of the very real commitment CPAs have to share their thoughts and perspectives on many of the important issues facing Georgia with local legislators.
With an incredible amount of professional diversity, representing every conceivable industry, CPAs have distinctive knowledge and perspective, and CPA Day places them in a position to offer their elected officials valuable input and expertise on the issues that they face. Last year’s event was met with incredible attendance with over 150 participants. Organizers anticipate that this year’s CPA Day at the Gold Dome will surpass last year’s attendance record.
“The Georgia Society of CPAs launched CPA Day at the Gold Dome because CPAs offer a unique and intelligent perspective, and events like this make a very real connection between the profession and Georgia's legislators. GSCPA members take seriously the issues that impact the CPA profession, the clients and employers they serve and the State of Georgia at large,” said Boyd Search, CEO of The Georgia Society of CPAs.
GSCPA hopes this event will continue to build awareness of the CPA profession. Every day CPAs serve their communities by acting as trusted business advisors to companies and individuals; CPA Day at the Gold Dome allows these same professionals to act as a valuable resource to the Georgia General Assembly.
Members of the media, feel free to visit the CPA Day at the Gold Dome website and add this event to your schedule.
