Reisterstown, MD, United States, 02/06/2007 – Focused on improving healthcare through information technology, Antek will be presenting LabDAQ® Laboratory Information System, DAQbilling® Practice Management Software and the CCHIT certified EMR mMD.net® to healthcare IT professionals from around the world. While Antek’s healthcare involvement is limited to software development and support, being in New Orleans only one year after the devastation of hurricane Katrina has placed an increased emphasis on the personal side of healthcare and motivated Antek to give back to the New Orleans community by raising funds for Habitat for Humanity.
Antek HealthWare’s President, Andy Pollack states “Immediately following hurricane Katrina the outpour of support was tremendous. But, over one year later, parts of New Orleans are still crippled and uninhabitable due the effects of the storm. Antek has pledged a donation to the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity and will be making additional contributions on behalf of those individuals who visit the Antek booth and participate in the Antek HealthWare rebuilding project”.
The HIMSS exhibit, February 25th through March 1st 2007, will attract over 24,000 attendees from around the world to New Orleans. Antek would like to encourage the attendees to visit our booth, 6112, on the exhibit floor to help Antek rebuild the city.
