Online gaming website Zylom has been chosen by the British public as the overall winner of the Website of the Year 2013.
The Website of the Year election is the biggest annual online public prize in Europe and was organized for the tenth consecutive year. The winners were honored during the festive Award Night at The Brewery in London, in the presence of companies like Sky, Vodafone, MoneySuperMarket, Zoopla and Badoo.
About 90.000 votes were cast by the British public on their favorite websites in 20 different categories, like Dating, Communities & Social networks and Food & Beverage. Nominated websites were judged on content, navigation, design and recommendation intention. There are 2 winners in each category: the Best Website, the site with the highest score on the four elements, and the Most Popular Website, the site with the highest number of votes. The overall winner of the Website of the Year is the website with the best relative review within its category.
