San Jose, CA, United States, 2013/11/12 - As IPv6 makes its way to corporate networks, power users are finding creative ways to bypass corporate security controls - Kerio.com.
Kerio Technologies has launched a new version of Kerio Control UTM, its most advanced security UTM appliance. The new Kerio Control features an advanced security appliance providing firewall security, intrusion prevention, content blocker and antivirus protection with support for mixed IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
The all-in-one appliance Kerio Control sits between the entry-level and high-end UTM appliances. The intuitive built-in administration interface walks Kerio administrators through steps in configuration, management and monitoring of the UTM, helping to eliminate any administration-related problems with network availability and security.
Its flexibililty in supporting multi-link fail-over and multi-link load-balance situations makes Kerio Control a great fit for complex and demanding deployments, from school districts to international steel manufacturers to multi-million mega yachts.
The new dynamic Content Filter allows administrators to block specific applications or categories of applications, rather than applying a more time-consuming and less reliable method of port-based blocking. The new payload analyzer responds dynamically to changing network and communication behavior of applications allowing administrators to respond to threats or unwanted traffic much faster than ever before.
"We built Kerio Control into the most advanced firewall and UTM solution for the mid-market," says Dusan Vitek, evangelist at Kerio Technologies. "Most security exploits today are made possible by unsuspecting users so its critical for us to provide the best security management tool out there to help administrator stay on top of their game. Especially in less-monitored networks it is critical that these exploits are not being done behind the backs of unsupecting administrators."
Kerio Control is available as a software or hardware appliance. The Kerio Control Box 1120 hardware appliance is priced at $895, a software-only edition starts at $265. Kerio Control 8.2 is available for download immediately with a 30-day unrestricted evaluation period.
