KXEN, the leading provider of predictive analytics for business users, today announced that the SAMSE Group, a leading independent distributor of home and building materials in France, has successfully deployed KXEN’s InfiniteInsight® to boost marketing campaigns, risk prevention and inventory forecasting for its 25 brands and 290 sales outlets.
Using KXEN to build and analyze a 360-degree view of their B2B and B2C customers, SAMSE Group has developed an early-warning system that identifies the types of construction projects their consumers are working on to make personalized product recommendations across multiple customer-facing channels such as the company’s retail outlets, call center and sales, in near real-time. Using this predictive insight in targeted direct marketing campaigns has led to a 220 percent increase in response rate.
“KXEN has helped uncover dependable patterns and insight that were previously unattainable. The success we’ve seen for each of our brands is impressive,” said Corentin Jouan, Head of Business Intelligence for SAMSE Group. “Moreover, we’re thrilled that KXEN has allowed us to be more systematic in our approach while allowing us the flexibility to leverage all of the valuable big data collected daily across our brands quickly and easily.”
One critical advantage provided by InfiniteInsight® is its “semantic layer”, which allows SAMSE Group to build reusable and easily modifiable analytical records from terabytes of big data accumulated daily from their more than 300,000 loyalty card holders and 30,000 enterprise customers. For example, the distributor’s consumer construction and do-it-yourself retail chain, La Boîte à Outils, uses InfiniteInsight® Explorer to build a 360-degree view of their customer with over 300 attributes by aggregating and preparing in excess of 10 million annual point of sale transactions.
Additionally, SAMSE Group is using KXEN to create inventory forecasting models for over 75 product SKUs as well as credit scores to predict the risk of non-payment for SMB customers which are often too small to otherwise have up-to-date credit information. Predictive models are refreshed weekly a task that would traditionally take weeks or months without an automated, industrialized approach and prior to KXEN, often meant making predictions too late, such as after a customer purchase actually occurred.
“In today’s business environment, companies need to deliver targeted interactions to customers in real-time,” said John Ball, CEO of KXEN. “We’re committed to providing an agile and easy-to-use solution that quickly provides predictive insight for every customer interaction, making it easier than ever to make the right offer at the right time to the right customer.”
