Scale Computing, the industry leader of hyperconverged platforms, today announced that it has seen record customer and industry traction for its flagship product HC3™ in building virtualized and private cloud environments. HC3 seamlessly integrates servers, storage and virtualization into a single platform that delivers the benefits of a private cloud.
Launched less than a year ago, HC3 has taken the market by storm with more than 600 HC3 clusters deployed at mid-sized organizations. New customers include Cyan, Inc. (NASDAQ: CYNI) of Petaluma, Calif., and Lafontaine Automotive of Highland, Mich., the largest Cadillac dealership in North America. Scale Computing has also seen significant growth in verticals such as financial services and government.
“The demand for this integrated solution is clear, as demonstrated by our 65 percent new business growth quarter over quarter,” said Jeff Ready, CEO of Scale Computing. “HC3 provides a turnkey platform for virtualization and private cloud without the need for the complexity or expense of legacy solutions.”
In addition to reaching significant records of sales, revenue and new customer growth, Scale Computing has also seen the following recent achievements:
• Launched HC3x, an extension of the HC3 platform, a powerful system that extends the memory and compute capability allowing for double the VMs per node over the standard HC3 line, and is built for customers looking to realize the benefits of private cloud.
• Added seasoned veteran Vic Mahadevan as an executive advisor. Mahadevan was recently the Chief Strategy Officer at NetApp, where he led NetApp’s business strategy in identifying disruptive product opportunities.
“The addition of Vic deepens our strategic storage expertise, and compliments the recent addition of our seasoned executives with software-defined networking expertise,” added Ready. “The team in place strengthens Scale Computing’s vision for a complete, software-defined datacenter in HC3.”
