INTERTEXT© was founded in 1988 and since then has undergone continued development to become what it is today: a leading company in the translation sector in Spain.
From the outset INTERTEXT© was committed to offering a highly professional translation service focused on meeting the needs of its customers in all fields. In 2004, the company was the first in its sector to obtain ISO 9001:2000 certification. In 2007, it became the first translation company in Catalonia and the second in Spain to obtain certification under the European UNE-EN 15038 standard for quality in translation services.
It has translated more than 60 million words which, converted into pages, would go around the world almost twice. Thanks to new technologies, it soon began an internationalisation process and now, with collaborators throughout the world, it can offer its services to national and international customers. This is possible through the use of the latest technologies for communication, management of translation projects, terminology and documental services, as well as quality control.
INTERTEXT Traducción y documentación multilingüe SL (intertext.es) is one of the oldest companies in this sector in Spain. From its offices in the centre of Barcelona, where it employs a staff of reviewers, project managers, information processing technicians and clerks, it provides translation, localisation and interpretation services to companies from Spain and other European countries, as well as multinational groups and institutions.
Another outstanding achievement of the company is having been a founding member of the sectorial association ACT, today the National Association of Translation and Interpretation Companies (ANETI). It is also a co-founder of the business cluster for innovation and internationalisation CLUSTERLINGUA and is a member of various associations related to terminology (AETER, EAFT) and technical communication (TEKOM). It collaborates with several Spanish and foreign universities in their regular training programs for technical, legal, and scientific translation, as well as post-graduate studies, especially those of technologies applied to translation.
