Wilson Electronics, LLC, a leading maker of cellular signal boosters, announced the company’s High Power Direct Connect booster was awarded the 2012 M2M Evolution Product of the Year Award.
The High Power Direct Connect booster, developed specifically for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, provides a strong, reliable cellular signal in weak signal areas. Wilson customers currently use this booster to aid the remote monitoring of oil field equipment, collection of data from distant weather stations and monitoring of elevator operations deep underground in the basements of large office buildings.
“An unreliable signal can be the weak link for companies that rely on the cellular network for M2M communications,” said Broc Jenkins, Wilson M2M Business Development Manager. “The High Power Direct Connect benefits our customers by boosting weak cell signals, allowing devices to maintain robust data connections in areas where previously a reliable connection was difficult or impossible to maintain. We’re honored to be a 2012 M2M Evolution Product of the Year Award winner alongside some of the biggest names in the M2M industry.”
“The solutions selected for the M2M Evolution Product of Year Awards reflect the diverse range of innovation driving the machine-to-machine market today. It is my honor to congratulate Wilson Electronics on their innovative work and superior contribution to the rapidly evolving M2M industry,” said Carl Ford, CEO of Crossfire Media, co-publisher of M2M Evolution.
