OpenQ (openq.com), the leading provider of solutions to enable companies in regulated industries to overcome compliance and exposure risks, was named a finalist by the American Business Awards for OpenQ SafeGuard™ in the category of New Product of the Year Software Collaboration/Social Networking Solution. This is the second Stevie Award product finalist for OpenQ, which received a Silver Stevie Award last year for its MobileQ iPad app.
The American Business Awards is the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations: public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year.
“We are thrilled and honored to win another Stevie Award for the second year in a row,” said Jim Zuffoletti, OpenQ’s President. “Our solutions deliver results for our customers in life sciences and financial services and that is demonstrated by the three awards SafeGuard has received since it was launched last June, including recognition by GRC 20/20.”
OpenQ’s SafeGuard™ addresses the risk of social technologies in regulated industries that have been reluctant to embrace social initiatives because of regulatory and legal risk concerns. SafeGuard’s patent-pending technology can be used with any social platform and is currently integrated into more than a dozen platforms. It monitors risk from interactions over social networking platforms to enforce corporate policy and regulatory compliance. The cutting-edge solution collects and analyzes data, identifying levels of risk, and enables personnel to address any issues with the workflow-driven remediation capabilities of SafeGuard™. The product analyzes the internal social data streams and external social media to identify, quarantine and enable management of risk. SafeGuard’s social compliance technology uses a policy/signature driven approach, similar to that of antivirus software, which can adapt to industry and company needs. It is the only product designed for policy-driven social compliance in the health, life science, and financial services ecosystems.
“SafeGuard is designed to enable regulated companies to embrace the significant value social media can provide, while mitigating legal and regulatory risks,” said Otavio Freire, OpenQ’s Chief Technology Officer. “SafeGuard works with both internal platforms, like Salesforce.com’s Chatter® or Microsoft’s Yammer™, and external social networks like Facebook®, Twitter® and LinkedIn®. Our customers really like that our solutions are industry-ready with policies in place for day-one implementation.”
Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. More than 150 members of nine specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place May 13 - 24.
