Software monetization leader SafeNet, Inc. today announced that the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, presented the company with a 2013 CODiE Award for its Sentinel Licensing Development Kit (LDK) in the Digital Rights Management Solution category. Sentinel LDK is the third offering from the Sentinel family to win a prestigious CODiE Award the company’s Sentinel Cloud Services won in 2012 and its Sentinel HASP won in 2008, both in the DRM Solution category.
Sentinel LDK is SafeNet’s next-generation software protection, licensing, and management platform. The solution provides software publishers with a comprehensive, out-of-the-box software monetization solution that enables them to protect their software, simplify operational processes, and maximize software revenue and profitability while enhancing the end-user experience.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized by the SIIA and our industry peers with another CODiE Award for the Sentinel family of software monetization solutions,” said Michelle Nerlinger, Vice President of Marketing for SafeNet’s Software Monetization division. “Sentinel LDK is a cutting-edge solution for protecting software and maximizing the intrinsic value of its IP. We help software developers make the most of what they’ve created.”
The SIIA CODiE Awards is the industry’s only peer-reviewed awards program. The first-round review of nominees is conducted by media, publishing and information services executives (including members of the industry, analysts, media and bloggers), and bankers and investors. The CODiE Award judges are responsible for selecting the finalists and SIIA members vote on the finalist products; scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
“We are especially pleased with the high caliber of this year’s CODiE Award winners. The products selected as finalists stand as a testament to the dedication finalist companies have not only to meet, but also to exceed their customer and partner expectations,” noted SIIA vice president for the Content Division, Kathy Greenler Sexton. “This was an extremely competitive year for the Content CODiE Awards.”
About the SIIA CODiE™ Awards
The SIIA CODiE™ Awards (siia.net/codies) were established in 1986 by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other’s work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose to celebrate the software and information industry’s finest products and services.
