Software solution brings finance, planning, organizational, and customer benefits
Openbravo, the leading web-based open source business management solutions provider, has beaten stiff international competition to provide its integrated retail solution to Khayal Alwataniya (KA) a privately held company with diverse interests across a number of sectors.
Openbravo's business management solutions (ERP and Web POS) beat off Oracle for Retail and Microsoft Dynamics for Retail, with the dynamic Saudi Holding Company with multimillions in monthly revenue- opting instead for Openbravo's cost effective, open source, cloud-ready, easy-to-scale offering.
The winning solution was presented to Khayal Alwataniya by Openbravo's 2012 Regional Partner of Year, Riyadh-based Tasawr Interactive who is leading the implementation project.
Khayal Alwataniya currently employs more than 400 people in the travel, food and beverage, hospitality, information technology, and construction industries. The group is enjoying rapid expansion, and with rapid growth comes a greater need for closer business management.
In response to this growth, KA decided to provide its companies with proper regulatory oversight, clear vision, fiscal planning, and keen insight into growth opportunities and expansion.
“We admire Khayal Alwataniya's forward thinking. It's impossible to manage every aspect of a rapidly expanding business without implementing a proper, professional business management solution such as we offer.”, said Andreu Bartolí, Vice President of Channel Operations at Openbravo.
KA renowned for being innovative was looking for an integrated retail and food and beverage solution that would give instantaneous insight into the financial state of each of its restaurants and other businesses in real time. It also wants better customer engagement, including processing mobile and online orders with real-time integration at the Point of Sale, ERP, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
The company would like to collect customer survey data, and is establishing a new call centre; so the criteria for the new solution selection was a straightforward process and system integration.
“For us, Openbravo made the most sense. We spent considerable time and energy evaluating solutions from the most popular ERP solutions, but Openbravo impressed us with its flexibility, scalability, and adherence to our project requirements. We appreciated the simplicity yet robustness of the Openbravo for Retail solution and the ability to enable e-Commerce and Mobile Commerce for our customers.”, said Fahad Alarifi, CEO of Khayal Alwataniya.“ We expect Openbravo to give us greater business insight and oversight, which will help our decision making process at all levels thus enabling us to capture market opportunities.”, he added.
Prior to the Openbravo implementation, KA was using individual software solutions for accounting, point of sale, HR & inventory management.
“All of our legacy systems were software solutions from local vendors with almost no integration possibilities; making our business difficult to manage and scale.”, added Ahmed Alzaeem, Financial Director of Khayal.
“Khayal Alwataniya will be able to establish revenue channels via mobile and web commerce integrations with instantaneous insight into the state of their business transactions in real time. We offer an integrated, multi-channel solution across multiple stores, e-commerce, and mobile to further support the business growth of this exciting company.”, said Andreu Bartolí of Openbravo.
“As we enter an exciting new era of growth and customer service, we are delighted that Openbravo will help lift us above the competition.”, concluded John Havens Corporate Chef of Khayal.
