“We are very pleased to now offer our wireless customers with access to the largest Canada-wide LTE coverage,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. “In addition, only SaskTel wireless customers have Canada-wide data, with no data overage charges.”
LTE is the next evolution in wireless technology with download speeds of 100 Mbps in Saskatchewan. SaskTel’s LTE network is currently available in Regina, Saskatoon, Clavet, Dundurn, Langham, Lumsden, Martensville, Osler, Pense, Vanscoy, Warman, White City Dalmeny and Balgonie. SaskTel LTE coverage already has twice the towers and up to 33% more speed compared to any other provider in Saskatchewan. Throughout 2013, SaskTel will continue to expand the 4G LTE network to Estevan, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Prince Albert, Swift Current, Weyburn and Yorkton.
With Canada-wide roaming download speeds will range from 75 Mbps to 100 Mbps in some areas. The LTE network will provide increased speeds allowing customers to stream HD movies, high quality video and music, share pictures and videos, game faster than ever before as well as downloading applications lightning fast.
