Fairbury, NE, United States, 2007/01/16 - As part of the addition of their new website for the city’s sports events, the Columbus Sports Council (CSC) has announced its decision to purchase R-House, STI’s web-based housing and registration tool exclusively for their city’s sports events.
“Over the past two months we have been working with STI to customize a housing and registration product that is tailored to our needs. It has been great working with STI,” said Janice Davis, Executive Director of the Columbus Sports Council. “We are looking for a system that is fully integrated with a shopping cart that will not cause us a lot of work. We are very excited to see the design come to life.”
The launch of the new design is scheduled for mid–February. When completed, it will offer group housing managers the capability to pre-pay group hotel blocks without the hassle associated with tracking changes and cancellations.
“This new module to the R-House design is one I am very excited about. The more I contemplate the benefits it brings, and the problems it solves, the more I cannot wait to implement it for Columbus,” commented Joanna Vanderslice, President of STI. “R-House will set them apart in the sports industry and allow the CSC to bring in even more events, both in number and in size. It is our privilege to be partners with Columbus and customize their site to work for them.”
STI’s plan for use is truly a plan of success: to keep control of the event in the city, bringing benefit to the hotels, tournament directors and all the event attendees using their service, and do it in less time without breaking the budget. STI’s philosophy is to help the city succeed and grow.”
About the Columbus Sports Council (CSC)
The Columbus Sports Council (sportsandevents.com) is a not-for-profit organization that strives to promote tourism through sporting events, creating a positive economic impact on the greater Columbus region. Columbus features a variety of tiers, from amateur to college to professional levels of sports. Columbus is a city that is tailored for sports events. Amidst the quaint old south flavor and well planned city improvements are superb sports complexes to serve ice hockey, softball/baseball, soccer and volleyball.
STI (stihousing.com) desires to help cities capitalize on the growing sports industry. Sports-related travel generates more than 46 million room nights annually, and STI’s R-House is the ticket to making the most from this resilient group travel market. With R-House, the city keeps control of the event; in doing so, benefit is brought to the hotels, the event directors and all the attendees using the service and the generated revenue stays in the city.
STI specializes in event housing management across America. By assisting the event director in logistics and planning, events can run smoother and for less time and money. R-House allows them to set-up, monitor and manage their groups online. The STI design includes over 30 years of integration knowledge gained in the technology industries by the STI management team. STI continues to serve events locally in the Omaha/Lincoln areas as well as many other events nationally. It is through their hands-on experience and technical background that R-House was developed. STI saw a need in the industry and met it.
