Attenda Limited, the Business Critical IT company, today announced the launch of its Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Managed Service, to provide mid-market organisations with a hosted desktop platform for centralised management of the enterprise desktop estate.
The new VDI Service utilises VMware View technology to provide a hosted desktop platform for centralised and secure provisioning of desktops and associated applications, to fixed and mobile devices; complemented by a comprehensive monitoring capability.
Commenting on the new VDI Service launch, Gavin Jackson, EMEA Director- Cloud Services & Partners, VMware says "Attenda is one of only a few service providers to embrace 'VDI as a Service', as part of their long-term commitment to end user computing; sharing our view that this is an area of significant opportunity within the enterprise."
In addition to the core VDI Service, Attenda is also developing an ecosystem of related services including User Profile Virtualisation, End User Experience Monitoring, Secure Web Proxy and 2FA; complemented with end user support desk and conventional desktop support, through trusted partners, to provide clients with a one-stop shop Virtual Desktop solution.

The VDI Service is an integral part of Attenda's Service Strategy, to enable mid-market enterprises to implement Virtual Desktop as a method of achieving operational or cost benefits. The VDI Service exploits Attenda's existing operational model and platforms, including its managed cloud platform, providing economies of scale; and delivers the enterprise class security and availability demanded for business critical applications.
