The TN-5510-2GLSX-ODC is a 10-port EN50155 Ethernet switch that comes with 2 fiber-optic Gigabit ports. The Gigabit Ethernet network provides enough bandwidth to deliver real-time video and voice communications for passenger entertainment and security-related applications, and fiber-optic cable is able to extend up to 2km transmission distance for the communication backbone network. Fiber cabling also possesses greater resistance against EMI interference, to prevent interruptions in network transitions or data loss and secure resilient IP data connectivity between train cars.
In addition, the TN-5510-2GLSX-ODC uses Q-ODC connectors that are robust and easy to install with a simple pull-push mechanism.
