Chicago, IL, United States, 2005/08/12 - IBCTV, the world innovator of interactive video technology for the web, recently announced the appointment of Rena D'Onofrio as the company’s Director of Sales Development.
IBCTV, the world innovator of interactive video technology for the web, recently announced the appointment of Rena D'Onofrio as the company’s Director of Sales Development. In this role, Rena will be responsible for developing new and existing business within medical sales. Rena is based out of IBCTV’s Chicago office.
Rena brings 20+ years experience in sales, marketing management and strategic sales to the company. In addition to consulting work for several Chicago tech companies, Rena was a co-founder of nextAUDIT, LLC. Prior to that, she launched and ran the central sales territory as Director of Sales, Central US, Canada and Latin America for the ABCi division of the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Rena has spent over 20 years working in media. She got her start as a media buyer but made the switch to sales early on in her career. She comes to IBCTV as an experienced start-up specialist.
IBCTV is transforming the way plastic surgeons communicate with their patients online with its premier platform, the Video Patient Evaluator (VPE). The VPE allows medical professionals to “speak” with their potential patients online using on-demand streaming video and effectively organizes online patient acquisition through their own web site. With the addition of Rena to the team, IBCTV expects to substantially increase business across several major medical disciplines, as well as open new International markets.
“We’re excited to have someone with Rena’s sales credentials and experience join IBCTV. Rena is a talented sales executive and will be a great asset in reaching out to medical practices that want to grow alongside and ahead of the online video and broadband revolution to boost their bottom line,” Jay Jackson, CEO of IBCTV, LLC, says.
Broadband enables businesses to transmit more data faster from one location to another, thus helping them stay on top of their competition. The number of broadband homes in the U.S. is set to explode. Forrester Research predicts there will be 71.4 million by the end of 2010, up from 31 million at the end of 2004. It is likely, according to a recent Harrison trends report, that the number of U.S. adults who go online to look for health information will also continue to increase. In 2005, approximately 117 million U.S. adults went online at least once to look for health or medical information, up from about 111 million last year.
