Orange Park, FL, United States, 2007/01/05 - Clements Publishing Co. and The Tampa Tribune have formed a partnership for publication of the Greater Tampa Education Guide. The Clements' team will design, research and write the Guide, while the Tribune staff will handle all advertising sales - Rducati.
Parents relocating to the Tampa area will now have greater access to a resource that will help them in determining their children’s educational choices.
Clements Publishing Company and The Tampa Tribune have signed an agreement to publish the third edition of the Greater Tampa Education Guide, which is distributed each year to area real estate relocation professionals, libraries, chambers of commerce, public schools and private schools in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas, Polk and Pasco counties.
“We’re excited about our alliance with The Tampa Tribune and are pleased to provide Greater Tampa area parents with a resource such as the Greater Tampa Education Guide,” said Mike Clements, president of Clements Publishing Company, publisher of the Guide. “We see the partnership as a win-win situation because their ad staff will coordinate advertising sales and our staff here will write the stories, conduct all of the research and produce the Guide without placing any additional work on The Tribune’s editorial staff.”
The Guide provides real estate relocation professionals a resource that helps them answer the No. 1 question parents ask when moving to a new area: ‘How are the local schools?’ and ‘What choices do I have for my kids in terms of education?’
“The Greater Tampa Education Guide provides a comprehensive look at public school districts in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas, Polk and Pasco counties and includes such indicators as dropout rates, graduation rates and school district annual budgets,” said Bruce Faulmann Tampa Tribune Vice President of Advertising and Marketing. “The Greater Tampa Education Guide gives our readers an excellent resource they can use to make informed decisions about public and private education.”
The Guide includes lists of area private schools and details the diverse programs they offer in each county. Another section of the Guide includes listings of public libraries, post-secondary schools, and colleges and universities.
The Guide also helps parents understand how schools are graded by the Florida Dept. of Education and explains various standardized tests, such as the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.
“We pay great attention to the details involved with the FCAT in order to provide parents with a user-friendly format where they can review FCAT scores,” Clements said. “Each year, we receive numerous comments from thankful readers who tell us, ‘Now FCAT makes sense’.”
