London, United Kingdom, 01/03/2007 – European Young Professionals (EYP) is launching its London chapter in 2007. The launch event is being held on January 10 and will be attended by more than 300 young professionals from 25 countries.
EYP members come from all over the world: so it provides a unique networking platform. The organisation is for all business professionals who are young at heart, rather than defined by age. Next year EYP London is planning to organise 12 networking evenings in London as well as a minimum of three business seminars with successful entrepreneurs. EYP London will also arrange social activities such as golf tournaments and sailing excursions.
EYP was founded for expatriate professionals in Thailand in 2005. EYP London is the first European division of the organisation and long term goal of European Young Professionals is to have an affiliate in every major city in the world.
“The aim of EYP London is to provide all young professionals living and working in London with series of high-profile networking opportunities. The EYP vision is to be innovative, supportive, diverse and to offer a unique, valuable networking experience to all members of EYP London, “said Nick Jonsson , Communications Director and a founder of EYP.
According to Andy Lopata, one of the UK’s top authors and professional speakers in the field of networking and referral skills, ‘’Networking events such as the European Young Professionals provide great opportunities for professionals to learn from other experiences, share knowledge and build relationships that lead to productive business relationships and referrals in the long – term. It is encouraging to see organisations such as EYP encouraging younger people to be more proactive in taking these opportunities’’.
The EYP London launch event will be held simultaneously on January 10 at No.5 Cavendish Square and virtually in Second Life, enabling young professionals from all over the world to attend the event remotely on their PC. Real-lifers all over the world have been invited to join the launch chosen from the European Young Professionals enthusiastic members. This is likely to make the event quite a challenge since the EYP board members have to respond to keeping both audiences engaged at the same time.
