MiX Telematics has secured a new contract with Nestlé Middle East as well as an extended contract with Saudi Aramco. The Nestlé contract, won through Middle East partner Fleet Management Solutions International (FMSi), will see 350 vehicles across Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Oman fitted with a MiX Telematics solution. Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Training department has opted to connect 2,000 additional vehicles, following a successful trial run by Fleet Tracking Technologies (FTT).
FTT, another MiX Telematics fleet management partner in the Middle East, was responsible for the roll-out of an initial 500 connected vehicles for Saudia Aramco in December 2011.
Both Nestlé Middle East and Saudi Aramco can look forward to having direct control over their drivers and vehicles. Benefits they can expect include significant fuel savings, optimised resource management, and improved safety levels through driver behaviour modification.
