The event is recognised as the leading conference for Software Testing Professionals in Europe and Scott has been invited to present on how Agile test data management can avoid issues that impact on application development including decreased velocity, increased defect rate, reduction of test coverage and low product owner trust.
“Test data is no longer just a testing issue, it's a product delivery concern,” says Scott,“If you do not understand your data then you do not understand how to test your product. Therefore, I’ll be demonstrating how to identify problems and solve data provisioning issues across organisations.”
A mentor in Agile principles, Ray Scott has over 25 years’ experience in the IT industry, including 15 years as a project development lead for a range of Development and Quality System implementations. He also has a reputation as an Agile evangelist, specializing in SCRUM, eXtreme programming methodologies, and is a certified SCRUM Master and Practitioner, as well as a recognised Test Methodologist.
The Conference will be held November 5th – 8th and Ray Scott’s talk, Agile Solutions – Leading with Test Data Management, is scheduled for Wednsday7th at 15:45pm. “I will be focusing on best practices necessary to achieve efficiency, reduce an application’s time to market and reduce cost of delivery,” adds Scott.
Attendees will also learn about the strategies which support the distribution of test data for cross-functional teams and gain an understanding of what infrastructure is needed to provide high quality data for development, functional testing, performance, user acceptance and security teams.
