Public and private sector leaders are invited to attend a free half-day conference on September 13, 2012 in the Washington, D.C. area on the topic of “leading in a time of escalating global complexity.”
The event is hosted by two leading global leadership development firms, The Leadership Circle and Full Circle Group. The two firms are responsible for leadership breakthroughs at global enterprises including Apple, Microsoft, Pepsi, Boeing, Sony, Wells Fargo and many other Fortune 500 companies.
Conference presentations will explore a question faced by most leaders in today’s fast-paced business environment: “How do we develop the creative capacity in our leadership and throughout the organization to respond to rapidly changing marketplace demands and dynamics?”
“Developing the ability to deal with escalating global complexity is the new leadership imperative,” says Bob Anderson, CEO of The Leadership Circle. “Many CEO’s and organizational leaders seriously doubt their ability to cope with rapidly escalating complexity. We intend to begin a conversation both to deepen our collective awareness of this challenge and to enhance our commitment to address it.”
“Organizations must adapt to change and escalating complexity in order to thrive,” says Bill Adams, CEO of Full Circle Group. “Leaders have been talking about the increasing rate of change for years, but escalating complexity is a new and emerging trend. Simply put, not only is the rate of change increasing, but so is complexity. Escalating complexity results from rapidly shifting marketplace dynamics in a global business environment compounded by increasing uncertainty, ambiguity, volatility, and market disruption.”
This event is free and will feature presentations from thought leaders in the field of leadership development. Presenters for the event include Bob Anderson, Founder and CEO of The Leadership Circle, Bill Adams, CEO and Director of Full Circle Group, and Andrew Bennett, Director of The Leadership Circle. They will present on a variety of topics including: rising to the challenge of the new leadership imperative, the link between effective leadership development and business performance, and the magic of leadership.
This free conference will be held at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Gaithersburg (204 Boardwalk Place) on September 13, 2012 from 9:00 am. to 1:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and there is no charge for registration.
