Intelligent InSites, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise real-time location systems (RTLS) software helping hospitals improve patient care and increase healthcare efficiency while leveraging any RTLS sensor technology, has announced today that Group Health – the leading consumer-governed healthcare system, serving over 625,000 community members with 25 Group Health medical facilities – has selected Intelligent InSites to help make medical centers of the future a reality today.
Group Health began in 1947 as a community coalition dedicated to making quality health care available and affordable. Today it is one of the few health care organizations in the country governed by consumers. Care is provided by Group Health Physicians and other clinicians at 25 Group Health-operated medical facilities. In service areas where Group Health doesn't own facilities and for plans offering more choice, a network of nearly 9,000 community clinicians and 41 hospitals meets member health care needs.
“We are proud to partner with the leading consumer-governed healthcare system in creating the ideal patient experience,” said Doug Burgum, Chairman of Intelligent InSites. “Group Health’s pioneering approach to care delivery will surely become a model for using innovative solutions to achieve the maximum level of efficiency and patient satisfaction.”
Scheduled to open in December 2012, the Group Health Puyallup Medical Center was designed based on direct feedback from members, clinicians, and staff. This medical center of the future allows easy access to services, better care, a low-stress environment, and efficient use of resources. A few of the patient-centric innovations include streamlining patient flow and eliminating waiting rooms. Patients will be able to check in and go straight to their care room, and services like lab will be brought to the patient with one click of the Intelligent InSites RTLS software.
By leveraging the Intelligent InSites solution, Group Health can have the right room, the right staff, and the right equipment ready for the patient – reducing patient wait times and cycle times, which in turn will allow Group Health to meet the needs of their growing member population and provide a highly-satisfying patient experience.
Real-time location data will be provided by CenTrak IR/RF RTLS hardware, which is integrated with Intelligent InSites’ enterprise RTLS software platform.
With the Intelligent InSites business intelligence and reporting capabilities, Group Health will be able to further optimize patient flow and improve asset management, as vast amounts of automatically-collected data can be analyzed through easy-to-use real-time dashboards and reports. This valuable information will enable Group Health to continually monitor and optimize their processes.
