Dayton, OH, United States, 2012/08/13 - Plus Technologies has released for immediate sale, a solution for printing documents and emails from mobile devices such as smartphones and iPads - PlusTechnologies.com.
This solution is targeted to the corporate, institutional, and enterprise markets. This mobile printing solution is based on Plus Technologies’ OM Plus Delivery Manager (DM) print software. The OM Plus DM Mobile Printing solution is a market leading print spooling, job delivery software product.
This mobile print solution is designed for individuals who rely on smartphones to perform their job function instead of using their desktop or laptop computers. These users need to be able to print where-ever they are. Access to a nearby printer often proves to be difficult. In addition, the print jobs may include large, complex attachments in non-printer formats that need to be transformed and reformatted for print.
Plus Technologies’ Mobile Printing solution addresses these issues. With the OM Plus Mobile Printing solution, users can print to any network printer directly from their smart device. Users will forward the document(s) in the form of one or multiple email attachments to a single email address that is linked to a printer on the OM Plus printer server. OM Plus receives and formats the email for print. OM Plus transforms the HTML, PDF, Office Docs, JPEG, GIF attachments into a printer friendly format. Once this process is complete, the job is ready to be printed. OM Plus will deliver and release the print job directly to the printer defined by the user.
Alternatively OM Plus can hold the job. Since OM Plus is a market leading print spooling software product, it can be aware of all the printers in a corporate environment. In this setting, users can walk up to any print device in their OM Plus environment, identify themselves in any one of our multiple Secure Print Release options (e.g. card swipe), and OM Plus will immediately deliver the job to that print device. In this way, the printing function can be as mobile as the end user.
Additionally, because OM Plus is a robust print spooler, all print jobs are logged in an Accounting Log along with the user information, destination, date/time, pages printed and more. Customers will have access to OM Plus’ security and permissions subsystem to set up to allow users or classes of users varying levels of capabilities. Other features such as printer fail-over (at page level), re-direct, restart, cancel and other features will also be available to end users.
The Plus Technologies Mobile Printing Solution provides quick, efficient, and secure electronic delivery of documents which is perfect for mobile workers in health care and other environments. It would also be very beneficial for users in a number of environments.
