Wayne, A GE Energy Business and a global innovator of fuel dispensers and forecourt technologies, announced today that it has relocated the company’s production of compressed natural gas (CNG) dispensers manufacturing operation from Talmona, Italy, to Malmö, Sweden.
The move to Malmö, Wayne’s European technology and engineering hub, increases efficiency while providing access to a wide range of resources—from top engineering and design professionals to expansive assembly and warehousing capabilities. Following the sale of Wayne’s CNG compressor line, this move enables Wayne to focus on its strength: dispenser technology. This furthers its strategy to provide global customers with safe, reliable, state-of-the-art dispenser systems built with quality components for ease of use and serviceability—all at competitive prices. Relocating the CNG dispenser business also helps Wayne capitalize on its broad-based engineering expertise, so that it can continue to lead not only in its core business of conventional fuel dispensers, but also in its expanding line of alternative-fuel dispensers, including those for CNG, LPG and AdBlue® diesel exhaust fluid.
“Our organization’s long history in the CNG business continues as we co-locate our CNG dispenser business with our other Global Star V dispenser production line,” said Wayne EMEA President Damian Tracey. “In particular, Wayne CNG dispensers lead in technology and support our CNG industry customers’ needs — whether those clients are original equipment manufacturer (OEM) compressor packagers, engineering procurement construction (EPC) companies, independent retailers, or major oil companies. This move helps strengthen our focus on innovation in the manufacture of CNG dispensers, and we are excited about adding this line to our Malmö operations.”
Wayne remains a key provider of CNG dispensers in Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East and expects the move to expand its presence worldwide. With a range of available configurations featuring intelligent design, Wayne Global Vista™ and Wayne Global Star™ CNG dispensers provide flexibility, performance and safety even when operating at peak capacity
