Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, United Kingdom, 2012/07/17 - The SteriTouch brand has always been synonymous with hygiene, and that’s been independently proven with the results of an Ipsos MORI survey on UK shoppers - SteriTouch.com.
The main function of the Welsh business has always been the provision of safe and proven antimicrobial technology to protect its customers’ products against harmful bacteria and mould, yet it is without doubt that the strength of the SteriTouch co-brand is now the key to its increasing customer base and their subsequent product success.
The next step in getting this confirmed was to determine feeling amongst shoppers in the UK following a year of successful brand exposure through several high-profile customers, including Mothercare, B&Q and PHS Washrooms.
A survey by Ipsos MORI, the most trusted brand in independent polls in the UK, put three questions posed by SteriTouch through a very strict anti-bias procedure, which they passed with flying colours.
The survey polled 1132 main shoppers across Britain, and the results spoke volumes. The SteriTouch brand was not only the most recognised UK antimicrobial brand, it was the brand most associated with hygiene – globally. The third question fulfilled our own curiosity; it showed that our two nearest UK competitors were associated with ‘biodegradable’ far more than ‘hygiene’, demonstrating perfectly how important it is to choose the right brand for a product, to avoid confusion amongst consumers.
Most importantly the results provide SteriTouch brand users with absolute evidence that they are already using the most relevant antimicrobial co-brand, conveying precisely the right message to their customers.
Accessibility for all has always been a core strategy of the SteriTouch business model; unlike competitors, SteriTouch does not charge licensing fees for the use of its popular brand, or impose minimum order quantities.
SteriTouch technology and ongoing technical and marketing support are available to all companies regardless of size. Another key differentiator is its in-house R&D facility, which contains an injection moulding machine and a small-scale extruder, for running customer trials and producing custom blends. This enables SteriTouch to take pressure away from the customer and manufacturer, leaving them required only to provide a sample of their material before the sample is created to size, sent for independent testing and a test report produced. This is all performed free of charge, and is unique to SteriTouch as part of its ‘easy to adopt’ policy.
