Media5 Corporation, a leading provider of IP-based multimedia communications solutions, today announced the integration of its M5T E-DVA SDK with the DCX81 SoC from DSP Group®, a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications at home. For developers of advanced communications solutions, this integration raises the bar by providing a comprehensive HD Voice enabled E-DVA for the Intel® Puma™6 SoC that increases efficiency and facilitates the developmental cycle.
“DSP Group’s DCX81 SoC is the ideal solution for enabling our E-DVA SDK with PacketCable™ HD Voice and CAT-iq support.” said Mr. Eric Tremblay, Manager of M5T products and services for Media5. “Together with DSP Group, we are achieving a high-level of integration that further simplifies the development of the next-generation of E-DVA/EMTA devices.”
The M5T E-DVA SDK for the Intel® Puma™ family of SoCs is a complete SIP and voice application for an Embedded Digital Voice Adaptor (E-DVA). The E-DVA SDK implements the necessary state machine to manage analog telephone/fax lines attached to a cable modem, and also integrates into Intel’s SDK to offer the management of MIB variables related to SIP signaling and telephony.
"We are excited to be working together with Media5 Corporation to facilitate the development of next-generation converged communication platforms for the service providers market," explained Mr. Ran Klier, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Europe and Americas for DSP Group. “Our DCX81 SoC, the most advanced DECT solution in the market, features high level of integration, superior range and processing power, is the ideal solution for the North American market enabling multiple HD voice channels to work concurrently with multi line multi handsets support, and advanced CAT-iq telephony features that bring new voice quality and innovative features for the cable gateway market”.
