BlueTech Research, an O2 Environmental Company and the leading authority on innovative and disruptive water market technologies, has signed an MOU to establish a strategic industry partnership with Water Environment Federation, the largest water technology organization in the world.

In response to the MOU signing, Dr. Eileen O’Neill, Deputy Executive Director of the Water Environment Federation notes: “We are very pleased to formalize a relationship with BlueTech Research and especially to be working with them on innovation programming and innovation pavilion at WEFTEC 2012 in New Orleans. BlueTech Research’s expertise in water market business trends and experience tracking innovative water technology companies complements WEF’s in depth scientific and technical expertise.”

The BlueTech Showcase, part of the annual BlueTech Forum, is a unique platform for companies from around the world that are active in technology innovation hot-spots to present disruptive water technologies and outstanding go-to-market business strategies. In this year’s competition, Ecolyse, a company that provides phage-based biocontrol products to remediate pipeline corrosion, reservoir souring and ethanol production disruption, won the Disrupt-o-Meter™ Award for the most disruptive technology.
Water Remediation Technology (WRT), a premier water treatment company that provides a complete service to remove radionucleides from groundwater, won the Go-to-Market Strategy Award.
At WEFTEC, BlueTech Research executives will coordinate/moderate the Commercializing Campus Technology activity, deliver a case study presentation on entrepreneurship in the water sector, and apply its proprietary methodology for assessing and evaluating innovative technology winners.
Longer-term activities involve research projects, providing bluetech market intelligence to WEF, and expanding future WEFTEC offerings and technical programming.
