DataScan Field Services, one of the largest floorplan inventory verification and vehicle inspection companies in the automotive industry, has been selected as the exclusive provider of off-lease vehicle inspections for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA)/Porsche Financial Services (PFS).
By selecting DataScan, Porsche reinforces its commitment to developing a stronger, more transparent end-of-lease process. DataScan’s technology-driven inspection services offer Porsche greater efficiency and a better experience for both dealers and consumers alike.
As a part of the customization process for new clients, DataScan also enhanced a website portal for PCNA called Porsche 360, which provides the automaker’s 193 North American dealers with an interface to help retain lessees during the lease-end process. DataScan rebuilt the portal from the ground up, focusing on significantly improving the tools and functionality.
DataScan leverages its experienced associates and technological expertise to continually enhance its service offerings to major companies throughout North America. With the updates provided by DataScan, Porsche 360 allows dealers to conduct a “pre-inspection” approximately four months before lease-end, and record the information onto the site. Dealers can then help customers prepare proactively for their lease termination, including facilitating the purchase or lease of a new Porsche and assessing possible excess wear charges or repairs needed before turning in the vehicle.
“We custom designed Porsche 360 to specifically address Porsche’s lease-end needs, to make the process more user-friendly and provide our clients with better tools so their customers keep coming back,” said Brent Sergot, vice president and general manager, DataScan. “Porsche 360 was built with the capability of future enhancements and usages, and we look forward to a technical partnership with Porsche that can continuously benefit its customers.”
The new Porsche 360 website gives dealers visibility into the lease cycle that had previously only been available at the corporate finance level, enabling them to be more proactive in managing sales channels and expediting the remarketing process.
“The new Porsche 360 website is extremely robust and user-friendly,” said Michael Sanchez, manager, Vehicle Remarketing, Porsche Cars North America. “Our expectation is for our Porsche dealers to engage in the pre-inspection process quickly and find the new site intuitive enough to maneuver with ease. It will be important for our dealers to be comfortable with the site, in order for them to use it with regularity. Ultimately, our partnership with DataScan will positively impact our customer relationships at every touch-point. The increased efficiency will allow dealers to move more cars quicker and provide additional information for lessees to aid them in negotiating their next deal.”
"PFS is pleased to partner with DataScan to provide our Lease End customer best-in-class service,” stated Brian Gassert, director, Customer Service & Remarketing, Porsche Financial Services.
