The Masters Conference for Legal Professionals, an advanced legal educational experience, today announced the dates and locations for their regional Masters Series educational events and their national Masters Conference, held annually in Washington, D.C. Masters events are designed for attorneys and litigation support professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding about managing the information lifecycle. Masters events offer smaller forums and content delivered by legal industry thought leaders.
The Masters Series events – half-day educational sessions followed by a networking reception– will be held in:
- Houston on March 20, 2012, Downtown Club;
- San Francisco on April 18, 2012, City Club;
- Philadelphia on May 10, 2012, Union League of Philadelphia;
- Chicago on June 5, 2012, Metropolitan Club.
The Masters Series events will have two tracks from which attendees can choose. The sessions will include:
- Social Media: An update on evolving trends and the effect they are having on the e-discovery landscape;
- Predictive coding: What is it? What’s next? Why is it important?;
- Corporate perspective on e-Discovery procurement trends;
- Reviewing and revising corporate privacy policies for today’s relevancy and retention standards;
- Lockdown: Ensuring data is safe, secure and inaccessible to intruders.
The Masters Conference 2012 will be held October 8 – 10 in Washington, D.C. The theme is Information Convergence: Creating Synergy Between Compliance, Discovery and Security. At the national conference, experts will explore and share what leading corporations and law firms are doing today to remain compliant with government regulations. Sessions will cover the complexities and risk of information security and offer methodologies of protection and proper protocol. The conference will also offer management strategies including information convergence, technology and integration, financial planning, adherence to FRCP, and thought-leader discussion on what the future holds for discovery.
The Masters Conference and Series events provide practical CLE education for lawyers and litigation support professionals that are delivered by experts with front-line experience. Session content is developed by an advisory cabinet of industry thought leaders. Attendees will gain practical knowledge, presented by peers, on current issues that can be applied immediately to everyday practice.
