Global Tax Network (GTN) is pleased to announce two new leaders in the Americas region. Eric Loff, CPA, has joined the Minneapolis office as Managing Director and Emre Kicik, EA, has joined the New York office as Senior Manager.
Both Loff and Kicik come from extensive international assignment tax services backgrounds. Their interest in focusing exclusively on international tax planning and consulting, in a dynamic and growing firm, brought them to GTN.
“I am energized by the opportunity to join and contribute to a team with unmatched experience in the Minneapolis market and an established reputation for delivering exceptional client service and practical solutions,” Loff said.
Loff has more than 17 years of experience in the management of international assignment programs and the human resource, tax and payroll aspects of internationally mobile employees. He has assisted emerging to large expatriate programs on topics such as cross-border assignment tax planning, global payroll and tax compliance, application of income tax treaties and totalization agreements, international tax and human resource policy design and implementation and expatriate program risk reviews. At GTN, he will add a fresh perspective to the growth goals at GTN as well as input on best practices for client service.
Prior to joining GTN, Loff was an Executive Director with Ernst & Young and the location leader for their global mobility practice in Minneapolis, which included coverage of Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines, and Omaha. He is a frequent speaker on international executive topics. He is a Certified Public Accountant, receiving his undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College. He also holds an MBA degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota.
Kicik is a former expatriate, working most recently as a Manager at Deloitte. His career has led to assignments in Australia, India, Romania, Turkey, and the United Kingdom prior to his move to New York. Serving in GTN’s New York office, Kicik is responsible for client service and consulting. He has more than 11 years of experience in international tax consulting and is currently working on his MBA. He is an IRS enrolled agent.
“It’s great to find a home base where I can continue to do what I love and work with a variety of global mobility programs,” Kicik said. “It’s really a pioneering field and GTN is one of the best — agile and innovative.”
The expansion of GTN’s leadership team in the Americas is part of a continuing effort to provide highly trained professionals for clients while anticipating the changing international tax issues and challenges that affect them.
“Bringing Eric and Emre on board is directly in line with our goal of establishing GTN as the premier provider of tax services for internationally mobile employees and their employers. We are very fortunate to have dedicated professionals of this caliber and experience join our team,” said David Kolb, president of the U.S. firm.
