Eldorado (ELDORADO), a division of MphasiS, an HP Company, and a leading provider of health benefit and claims management platforms, announces today that Keenan, the largest privately held insurance brokerage and consulting firm in California has reported a significant increase in auto adjudication rates since going live with Javelina one year ago.
Keenan implemented Javelina in 2010, becoming Javelina’s first third-party administration customer to utilize the full breadth of the technology platform. The Keenan Employee Benefit TPA manages benefit administration services for more than 60 self-funded employers, representing over 70,000 members.
“Eldorado’s cutting-edge technology has enabled us to share data with our carrier partners more effectively, and we have seen a significant increase in our auto adjudication rate,” said Marcos Rolon, Vice President of the Keenan Employee Benefits TPA. “Not only are we re-energized with the speed and efficiency of processing claims, the Javelina technology has alleviated many concerns we had about meeting requirements of healthcare reform. As a result, we can focus on managing claims quickly and providing better service.”
Eldorado President Tom Castleberry is pleased with the results that Keenan is reporting in their initial year of utilizing Javelina.
“Eldorado began development of Javelina in 2006 and has since poured 1,200+ person-years of application development into the product. Keenan trusted Eldorado and our open technology enough to become one of the first Javelina clients to go live,” he said. “Other companies are also reaping the benefits of Javelina’s modern payer platform. Eldorado currently has three clients in production and processing live claims, with several more clients in line to go live within the next 12 months.”
“The collaborative effort between Eldorado and Keenan was essential to accomplishing our positive results,” said Henry Loubet, Chief Strategy Officer for Keenan. “Having a company working closely with us through the system conversion was critically important to maintaining continuity for our clients.”
Offered as a bundled solution with 20+ available modules, Javelina incorporates fully integrated technology and functionality to ensure performance-driven operations. Javelina maximizes efficiency of enterprise resources and reduces manual processes by incorporating real-time workflow management. Javelina’s application functionality is inspired by the experience of supporting over 80 clients as well as Eldorado’s mission to raise payer expectations regarding operational performance and core system reliability.
Javelina is 5010 and ICD-10 compliant ready and is poised to provide payers with a new level in payer benefits technology performance. Eldorado is harnessing the freedom and flexibility of open-source architecture to provide payers and administrators with lower operational overhead, expanded interoperability, increased transparency across administrative metrics and improved return on core technology investment.
