BlueStar was proud to host the European-American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) Greater Cincinnati Chapter European Country Briefing on Spain at its global headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky on November 8, 2011.
The event focused on how American-based companies enter the Spanish market and how businesses currently established abroad may more effectively conduct business. Key speakers included Maria Fernandez, Trade Commissioner for the Trade Commission of Spain Chicago, and Ignacio Mezquita, Director of Invest in Spain Agency. Attendees left with an understanding of Spain’s position in the European market, as well as its relationship to the United States.
“In today’s increasingly global world, sustainable business maintenance requires many companies in the U.S. to explore other markets, particularly European,” said EACC representative Natalie Beiser. “The EACC creates a platform of sharing expertise, experience and access to high-level connections needed when exporting and establishing presence in Europe. BlueStar offered valuable insight from practical experience on how to successfully establish a presence in Spain.”
Steve Cuntz, BlueStar’s President and CEO, addressed the company’s effective Spanish integration. BlueStar has had particular success in Spain, supporting office locations in Barcelona and Madrid. BlueStar’s local integrators recently provided card printers and accessories for ID production at all Spanish airports and have installed disc printers in all courtrooms there as well.
Spain is one of the largest European markets, with 47 million consumers and an additional 50 million annual tourists. Its knowledge-based economy centers mostly on services and is one of the most open among developed nations.
