JayMarc Homes employees will be rolling up their sleeves on Thursday, shifting their attention from building their own homes to constructing one for Habitat for Humanity. The workday will occur Thursday from 9 am. to 4 pm. at La Fortuna, 17272 127th Ave SE.
This event marks JayMarc’s debut back into local community involvement, after a two year recovery from the economic downturn. Last month, New Home Trends reported that JayMarc Homes sold the most new-construction single family homes in the Renton Highlands for 2011. That report is a positive indicator of business momentum, and serves as a reminder of one of JayMarc’s core values – giving back, said Marc Rousso, co-founder of JayMarc Homes.
“We have always been a community-based business, and committed to Renton. Our last two years were tough, but we’re back and strong,” Rousso said. “It’s time to focus on more than just our business.”
Renton-based JayMarc Homes builds new single family homes in the Renton, Newcastle, Bellevue and Mercer Island. The company, formerly known as JayMarc Development, expanded their business from residential land development to single family home construction. JayMarc (jaymarchomes.com) has developed hundreds of acres of land for residential communities in Renton, and is currently building four- and five-bedroom homes in Renton, Newcastle, Mercer Island and Bellevue. Their previous land development projects resulted in communities throughout Renton. In 2008, the company was named one of the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in Washington” by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
