Frost & Sullivan, the growth partnership company, will host its illustrious African Excellence in Best Practices Awards Banquet at The Westin Hotel, Cape Town on 2nd November. The annual banquet provides a leading platform for identifying and honouring industry leaders and innovators across Africa.
"Frost & Sullivan's Excellence in Best Practices Awards acknowledge companies demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development,” says Frost & Sullivan’s Partner and Operations Director for Africa and Latin America, Phil Howarth. “Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices within the industry."
The much-anticipated and highly competitive African Excellence Awards gala will honour companies for their outstanding performance across a diverse spectrum of markets, ranging from renewable energy, infrastructure, chemicals and materials and broadband to uninterruptible power supplies, data centres and private power production.
"This is an opportunity for us to acknowledge industry leaders who are setting best practices across the continent. Our awards programme is globally recognised for identifying companies with tremendous growth potential." says Howarth.
Frost & Sullivan will commend thirteen awardees for having demonstrated visionary leadership and exemplary best practices, while redefining industry benchmarks throughout the course of 2010- 2011.
Howarth will deliver the keynote address for the banquet focusing on Africa’s Mega Trends which will influence and shape the African continent in the coming years. The presentation will set the stage for visionary thinking by identifying the most important global Mega Trends, including development of mega cities, regions & corridors; ‘smart’ emerging as the new green; Geo Socialisation; Innovating to Zero; Beyond BRIC; The Next Game Changers; Space Jam; Personal Robots; e-Mobility; and New Business Models, to name a few. “Frost & Sullivan defines Mega Trends as global, sustained and macroeconomic forces of development that impact business, economy, careers, cultures and personal lives, thereby defining our future world and its increasing pace of change,” explains Howarth.
